This program unites a group of elite high school skaters from Bay Area High School Skating Teams with young beginners from a local San Francisco school. Together, they share skills, passion, and inspiration on the ice. The younger skaters gain confidence and discover the joy of skating, while the high school athletes develop leadership, teamwork, and a deeper sense of purpose.
Monarch coordinates this collaboration between the two organizations, creating a full-circle moment for the skaters. Many of these high school athletes once stood where the younger skaters are now—learning their first moves and dreaming big.
Through teaching, mentoring, and giving back, they help keep the spirit of community strong—because a community thrives only when its members continue to share, support, and inspire the next generation.
Our Dual-Instruction Model Classroom is a pioneering educational initiative that began as a pilot program in early 2020. Originally designed as an after-school Math Olympiad enrichment program for elementary students in private schools, it has grown into a dynamic and effective model for global learning collaboration.
In this classroom, experienced and highly skilled teachers from China conduct live, interactive math instruction in Chinese using advanced teaching software. Meanwhile, in the U.S. classroom, a Chinese-English bilingual teaching assistant supports students with classroom management, provides one-on-one help, and bridges any language gaps.
This dual-instruction model allows students to learn from top educators worldwide, while effectively addressing challenges common in remote learning—such as maintaining engagement and managing young learners in a classroom setting. It also helps minimize language barriers for students with limited Chinese proficiency, creating a truly immersive and supportive learning experience.
Global Conversation in Distance connects students from the United States and China for a unique cross-cultural exchange and language immersion experience. Each session brings together two groups of students—half from the U.S. and half from China—who are of similar ages and studying a second language (English or Chinese) at immersion schools.
Guided by a teacher-facilitator, students engage in structured discussions around thought-provoking topics or current issues. Each session is divided evenly between the two languages: half conducted in English and half in Chinese. Students take turns sharing ideas, debating viewpoints, and exploring cultural perspectives, all while improving vocabulary and communication skills in an authentic, peer-to-peer setting.
This program goes beyond language practice. It fosters mutual understanding, cultural awareness, and global empathy—helping students appreciate the mindset, values, and ways of thinking of their peers on the other side of the world.
Monarch Education hosts international programs year-round, creating meaningful opportunities for students to learn, explore, and connect across cultures. Each year, we bring students from China to the United States and from the U.S. to China, fostering a truly global learning community.
Through immersive study experiences, cultural exploration, and collaborative projects, students gain language fluency, global awareness, and a deeper appreciation of diverse perspectives. Our programs are designed to help young people develop confidence, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication skills that prepare them to thrive in an interconnected world.
More than travel, these exchanges are transformative educational journeys—building friendships, understanding, and a shared sense of global citizenship.
